Title: Recommendations on Taxidermist around Seattle area for coon skin hat?
Post by: johng on March 16, 2010, 09:10:07 PM

Howdy all,

So, I bagged my first coon a week and a half ago and I am wondering if you guys could share any shops that you like to take your game to.

One lead I have is Roger's Taxidermy in Tacoma.  Anyone ever deal with them?  Do they do good work?

Oh... and one more question.  Rocky raccoon is currently in my freezer wrapped in a garbage bag.  I didn't gut him before I stuck him in there... How long will he keep for?

Thanks!

John

I would skin and salt it and send it to USA Fox & Furs. I sent them a beaver and had a teddy bear made for my son and a friend sent them a coyote and had a mountain man hat made. Thier hats are cool looking with the face and and legs/paws. There # for a free catologe is 800-USA-FOXX. I think the hats are about $60.
