There has been mention in Idaho of possibly bringing trapping back to help control wolves in problem areas. :)
-
Man I wonder how much time they spent out there?
-
cool clips..If you go to trapperman.com there are some really cool stories and pics of some guys all over trapping wolves and wolverines...Lynx
-
Man those boys put a hurtin on some wolves EH :chuckle:
-
I can tell you from running my own trapline when it was legal in WA, anyone who puts that many critters on the stretching board knows what they are doing. When I was a young kid just starting, it took me 4 years to catch my first coyote...
-
Those boy's are doing a great job hope they keep it up. Sure would be fun to trap like that.
-
WOW! that is awesome!! Wish we could do that here.
-
Stackem like Cord wood!
-
Great videos Bearpaw, we need to run some lines in the Methow, ;)
-
Wolfbait I wished we could. If they allow trapping in Idaho again, that will be the call of the wild for me... :chuckle:
-
Nice ;)
-
Eratication! Good for those guys, they have some huge balls though putting the videos up on line. Im sure they have gotten some crazy responses from the antis, and they definetly know what they are doing.
-
That is just awesome!!

sooooo awesome

OK I might be a little off you from you all, but they seem to be taking the sport out of it :dunno: maybe I don't see the problem with them :dunno:
-
I guess there not the same as yotes :dunno: I heard though yotes chew there legs off to get a way from a trap.
-
Who said there has to be any sport in it? I'm down with a little blood lust! :mgun:
-
Great videos!
-

They probably aren't in it for the sport. It's a job. you can still get some good money from wolf pelts I hope they allow this in Idaho soon.

I feel trapping is still sporting. Not just anyone can throw out some traps and have success. Takes tons of experience and knowledge to be as successful as those guys. Great vid!!

my cat trap has only landed 3 cats, and I have been at it over a month, it is a hard thing to learn....

You are correct, I caught dozens of beaver, muskrat, mink, coon, and bobcat before I ever caught my fist coyote. I would imagine wolves are just as smart or even smarter and tougher to catch. I do look forward to Idaho getting wolf trapping someday. I would rather trap one than hunt one, although I am up for either.

Canines do not chew as a rule. I suppose if you left them in the trap for a week but who does that, 24 hour check rule here. Long check times are a thing form the past.
ARs try to keep this old myth around. Just not true with modern traps and check times.
