Well boys we didn't eat these ones but I have had rock chuck 2 or 3 times for a wild game dinner or just to try them out. Back east we eat groundhog from time to time but most of you boys may be a bit squeamish about it. I've accually eaten alot of odd things throught the years like porcupine, raccoon, snapping turtle, and even ground squirrel.
-
when you say groundhog you mean woodchuck?
-
i like rockchuck just fine..bbq it along with rabbit and i bet ya cant pick it out..fun times but shame to waste all that meat :dunno:

:whoo: Rock chuck blasten! Looks like the young ones are out and about to! I better get the .204 out on the next nice day. :mgun: I love launching chucks!. I try to wait until the youngins are out and it looks like there out. :bfg:

Yea ground hogs are also known as woodchucks. We ate them in Pennsylvania, and dad always pressure cooked them first, and then used italian bread crumbs, and flour to bread them then fried them up, and let me tell you they are really good!

Man, I want to go shoot some SOOOOOOO bad!

good shootin

Thanks! You know they really don't do well when you hit them with a 100 grain balliatic tip out of a 25-06 that I shoot, or from the 140 grain 7mm Mag that my son Brandon uses. We've got one picture that we didn't post of guts strung all over a couple strands of barbed wire, but didn't want to gross people out. That's why the leaves are hidding the missing heads of two of them! :chuckle:

i noticed the leaf cover lol i love the 100grain btip in my 25-06 as well makes a mess out of anything it touches :chuckle:
