PathfinderJR has next week off from school, and I took some leave. I was thinking about trekking up to Lenore Lake and seeing if I can't put the boy on some big cutts. Anybody been out there recently?

I have been there twice so far this year. It has been pretty steady for me with chironomids, but I have talked to some that were hit or miss. Most of the action is with float-tube or pontoon on the north end, you may have to move around to find the "pockets". I have been fishing from the shore on the south end, just wading to about shin deep and doing pretty good. Fish to 26 inches 2 weeks ago, however last week nothing over 18. Try for a non-weekend day to avoid the crowds especially at the north end.

Thanks man. PathfinderJR would kill for an 18" cutt, so even a "slow" day would be a charge for him. He just learned to flyfish last summer, and since Lenore isn't too technical, I thought it would be a good trip for him.
