Rule of thumb......when you try to capture the moment, watch out for distracting backgrounds.....and when working on the pics, make sure the Mrs. doesn't see it

Careful now.. 'Lady'?  That's got to be a player's older 17yr old sister.  :yike:

Doug, you did capture the moment. The determined look on your girl's face, not looking at the ball but in complete control, sizing up the opponents in front of her, ready to make her move.  Well done.

Its funny how all of you are commenting on the background "girl"....  Due to Bones location and the sport of soccer, I really believe that the girl in question is my sister.  That is why I asked where and when the pic was taken.  My sister's family are huge soccer fans and players, and she also has a dog that she takes to games, thus my comment.... Dude, thats my sis....LOL !!!!!!!!!

I thought you were asking where the pic was taken because you wanted to find that chic.   :chuckle:

I thought she looked rather young too.  Care if we guess her age?

My guess is that she is 16.

She has a child on the other end of that leash, so unless she is baby sitting.  She also had about a 10 year old look alike standing to the left of her.  Not because I noticed at the game, but looking at other pics.  Most of the time I have my camera stopped way down and shooting widw open which blurs all background.  I was experimenting with hte light of the day.  Whoever she is, she has long dang legs.

Got your pm Bone... Since there was a child on the leash instead of a dog.... I will say it is more than likely NOT my sis... But I can say if you put the subject and my sis side by side, you wouldnt know the difference !

We are biologically programmed to recognize her as a potential mate.
We are socially programmed to not be uncivil in that recognition.
Most of us are maritally programmed to not let our wives see us noticing her as biological beings.
Any human male above the age of 12 not finding her physically attractive - at least on first glance - is either in denial, homosexual, or suffers from a hormonal deficiency.

She had a kid on a leash?

That's just not right.  And no, not a candidate for YAR. That's just wrong.

I agree 100%.  We are programmed to check it out but I had to refrain from making sexually toned comments.   Looking a time or two is one thing, to act out or stand there and go va,va,voooom, homina, homina, homina, with your buddies is another.  I know that wasn't what Bone was going for, it was just an innocent comment, can't fault him for that.

(competitive)  Does she get that from you or mom?

My boys get it from me.. I think.. For the most part. They've seen how intense I get when playing Softball in the past and how passionate I can be about my shooting; they carry that into their own play on the field.

Those are great facial expressions.  My kids play as well. I cannot imagine taking one to the head like that. But they seem to do it without hesitation. My 9 yr old wanted to work on headers yesterday. LOL. My luck I would take one in the nose and that would be the end of my soccer career.

THANKS GUYS!     She takes care of herself, thats for sure.   She practices up a lot and has as good a kick as most of the older girls that are 2 years older than her.   At that age 2 years is incredible.  Good control where she places it too, for the most part.
Thanks Grandpa.   Thats what I enjoy about trying to photgraph them.  It makes a more interesting photo.  Some of her basketball pics...she probably scares the gals she plays.
