Do some searches in the Bear Hunting section. Lots of good tips, and stuff to get started.

yep, a little searching will prove fruitful.
Welcome.

The mountains. That's where I'd go. :chuckle: Seriously, there are bears in basically every mountain valley. Just spend a little time and you'll start to figure it out. :twocents:

Hey Jrabo, I am new to this site and Bear hunting as well. I will tell you from personal experience, that this is a GREAT source of knowledge. I know there are a lot of posts on here but it is well worth the reading. I have not read ALL of them but I have read a lot of them. Some I have had to go back to several times because there is so much to consume. Try to read up on as much as you can first.
I don't think people are going to completely leave you stranded, but you can't expect them to hold your hand and and walk you to the bears.
