Title: Anyone ever hunt Mulies on Abercrombie Mountain......if so how is access?
Post by: hooksetinc on April 01, 2010, 06:11:33 PM
I am planning a hike in rifle hunt this year. I want to tag an old mature mountain Mule buck. I am looking to get far away from the crowds and camp. I have heard a few things about Abercrombie mountain (West of Pend Oreille). Plenty of Bears (Grizz too) and cougars....as well as some huge Mule bucks. I am planning on scouting this summer. I have reviewed some maps on go hunt and am getting some top software for my GPS for the area. Has anyone hunted this area and had any success?

hookset,
I have had the aspiration to hunt Abercrombie. The are is thick and rugged. I would definitely suggest you scout the area. Yes there are some Nice Mullies up there. Take your time and you will be successful.  I have also heard but never verified that the rainfall on the north side is more annually than in Seattle.
