Any west siders having any luck calling in Coyotes lately? Nothing here.
-
Might have been a good day today. No rain after about a week. They are going crazy tonight! I canhear them just below my house.
-
i have not im new to coyote hunting any tips or tactics for the west side

What kind of perfume are you wearing? :IBCOOL:
-
:) They probably smell the skulls I have rotting out in 5 gallon buckets.
-
I need to come from up on the hill from Michelle's and try calling them. :guns:
-
called in 8 last year, and none so far this year
-
None, tried two days in two weeks so far. Had alot of sign in the snow last Sunday, but no fur flying yet.
-
They are thick around here at night but every time I want to go out my neighbor is logging or burning in the back 100. They have been pretty scarce during the day. Michelle, still working on those coons and coyote for ya. This weather even has the coons holed up.
-
It's really pissing me off, cause I owe a couple of dawgs some lead from F'ing with me during the turkey, and elk season! :chuckle: Payback time...
-
Well I guess I am not the only one having no luck :guns: or :beatdeadhorse: coyotes.
-
MY brother went out this last weekend, same thing, saw some sign but thats it.
-
Im headed out in the morning...see what I can find...
-
I screwed the "pooch" this morning. Ended up scaring one away really good. Fastest dog I have ever seen, running on snow in the CF.
Maybe give him a couple of weeks to settle down and try him again...
-
I called one up yesterday morning but couldnt get him to come as close as I wanted him. I over estimated the distance and shot right over his back. Too bad, he was a big old male with a pretty reddish coat. I know where he lives and will try him again next weekend with a different call.
-
so has anyone got a coyote from the west side this winter? I think I will spend the next few weekend on my race car and give up on coyotes for a few.
-
Here's a West side dog for all you nay-sayers... called up last month. I shot it inside 50 yards with the .375 H&H... he went down. Big dog too... 40+ pounds. AOD and I killed 4 more the same weekend we called this one up... ~josh

In a area you would like to share?
-
.375? Are you sure that is enough gun?
-
Sometimes, you just use what ya brung... :IBCOOL:
-
Yea I wouldn't use anything less than a 300 nosler for them doggies. Might decide you want to bust them in half so they are easier to pack out.
-
Went below the house yesterday were Im 3 for 3, now Im 3 for 4 no such luck. The last one we took with the bow and got it on film Ill post the video one of these days.

Had to break in the new bear rifle... what better way than on a coyote? 260 Accu-Bond at 2700+ will get the attention of just about any critter on the planet. ~josh
-
Where did you shoot them?
-
a lil demanding eh??
seems like someone really wants to shoot a yote :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Yes this S H I T is getting old. But see other post.
-
Where did you shoot them?
Shot that one a little back, good thing I had the stopping rifle too... because he was on a mission to eat me. Shot another one with the .375 right up the a$$ as it was running away. The others were pounded through both shoulders... pretty typical shot placement on a coyote. ~josh
-
I also like to shoot them with a stopper. 300 RUM. 200 grain accubonds. It makes them look purdy.
