Looks like 1221 is your only option there !! :(

I posted in the other thread where you posted about this but I'll say it again:
After 2 hard winters in a row that knocked the deer population way down, I would say it would be a bad idea to allow even 1 doe to be killed. It must be bad over there, the Stevens County commissioners petitioned the WDFW to go to a 4 point minimum restriction.
I definitely wouldn't say "once it's gone it's gone forever." I'm sure if the population comes back up to where it was previously, it will be opened back up to hunting for does.

Also, as robodad, mentioned, there is a special permit this year, hunt #1221, in which there are 100 doe permits for muzzleloaders, a Sept 25 to Oct. 3 season.

I've hunted the Colville area for the last 19yrs and have definatly seen the drop in deer populations the last winter wasn't that bad my in-laws live just out of town.
I've also seen a couple wolves up there and last yr a cougar for the first time,i didn't see any wolves last yr but only got to hunt for two days before I fell off that dam ladder and screwed my shoulder up which ended my hunting for the yr.
I've also noticed that the deer seemed to have moved in closer to town, were we used to see a 100 deer or more in one field last yr there was maybe 10-15 BUT on the way into town in a field WAY off the road was a huge BUNCH of deer well over a 100.WELL over.
We did see some nice bucks but never got a chance to hunt them cus of my fall.
Think i might hunt the rifle season this yr might get a chance at the big 5 we saw maybe ???.

Figures doesn't it Bob. I buy a new muzzleloader and they say no does ;) Oh well, rifle is a definite option. although we might have snow in the 3rd week of October. Might make hunting easier. Does that 1221 hunt include the Ranch??

I wasn't referring to this last winter. The two bad winters in a row were the two previous to 2009-2010 winter.
