Took this just a few minutes ago. He was sunning himself on the dock infront of my house on Sammamish.

You need to get more of him! Those are great. I love those little guys!

I was out kayaking last summer and I saw three of em all together swimming among the lilly pads, talking a bit to each other...I sometimes see them when I am out swimming at the dock to, if there arent too many wake boarders ripping by. ;)

They are cute until they get into your boat house and crap and piss everywhere. I had a couple destroy my boat house last winter. What a stinking, filthy mess! One guy at the club had some get into his boat and completely ruin the interior. You just cant get that smell out.

Fun to watch but very destructive..them litte rat bastads will hike over mountains to eat fish out of our pond.

Couldn't keep them out of our decoys this season. Althought gives a nice ripple to the spread.....

I had a little fun with one in Alaska. There were a couple that kept hanging around the lodge grabbing scraps of fish carcasses. One night, after a few brews and some Yukon Jack, I thought that it would be funny to ease a yelloweye carcass tied to a rope partially over the side of the dock and just wait. After about 25 minutes the little *censored* grabbed it. I quickly yanked him up onto the dock where he proceded to make a beeline straight for my leg. Luckily I was wearing my boots and with one well placed kick, sent him flying into the side of a boat and back into the drink. One of the deckhands got pictures of almost the whole ordeal. The things the you will do for fun when you are on an island 90 miles from the nearest civilization.

thats cool saylean! i have a pair that like to play in my front yard that leads down to the lake everyonce in a while also.....when its cold and the slop to the lake is cold they like to get it really slippery and slide down into the lake on there bellies....very dramatic little guys....quite the additude if you get one that will let you get close to them.........my wife always thinking that every animal wants to be fed old moldy bread goes out there and we end up having staring contests with him for 5 minutes or so everytime he comes......lol
great picture though...i need to do the same also when mine comeback......

That sounds pretty cool AJ, I wish I had a few more animals around here to look at. The only thing there seems to be alot of here in Eburg is Rocky ground and wind, not much fun watching either of them. :chuckle:
