Title: Pick a rut date
Post by: Craig on April 18, 2010, 09:45:40 PM: If you could hunt Mule deer in Eastern Washington during the rut for one 5 day period what dates would you pick out of these two sets of dates?

Nov 11th - 15th
or
Nov 25th - 30th

Post by: Sneaky on April 18, 2010, 09:54:52 PM: 11th-15th. Seems like Muleys start a little earlier and peak around mid november. If we were talking whitetails I'd say go a little later.

Post by: WSU on April 19, 2010, 08:44:31 AM: 11-15. My dad and I killed a big muley on a rut tag last year in early november (earlier then your dates) and the deer were rutting like crazy. The big buck was in a herd of about 20 deer, and was chasing 6 smaller bucks all over. This went on for hours.

I LOVE THIS DAY!!! 3 years in a row I have a spot on Boulder I have seen a monster. Not the same deer but they all have been monsters, one being over 220" Bones we need to go in there with a camera :)
