If you could hunt Mule deer in Eastern Washington during the rut for one 5 day period what dates would you pick out of these two sets of dates?
Nov 11th - 15th
or
Nov 25th - 30th
-
I'd choose the 11-15th if it was me.
-
11th-15th. Seems like Muleys start a little earlier and peak around mid november. If we were talking whitetails I'd say go a little later.

16th-20th
-
December 15-20th, does that count?
-
The peak of the rut would be over by Nov 25.
-
Other dates don't count. I will be hunting Mule deer in Montana during the other times. Trying to decide what special permits to put in for.

11-15 :)

11-15th for sure....

No brainer 11-15

11-15. My dad and I killed a big muley on a rut tag last year in early november (earlier then your dates) and the deer were rutting like crazy. The big buck was in a herd of about 20 deer, and was chasing 6 smaller bucks all over. This went on for hours.

No question in my area for whitetails its the 19th - 21th for me, I love those days, taken nice bucks on all of them :chuckle:

I've witnessed the same thing.

Depends on the area. Personally, I like the 25th

Just remember, by Nov 25-30 a few of the big migraitors might have moved down with a couple weeks of extra weather. ;)

Totally didn't see it was for mule deer, no question in my mind again, lol, the 12th of Nov. I LOVE THIS DAY!!! 3 years in a row I have a spot on Boulder I have seen a monster. Not the same deer but they all have been monsters, one being over 220" Bones we need to go in there with a camera :)

If the area is in lower elevation I'm taking the 25th, higher-11th
