Bought my girlfriend a one day fishing license for 4/24 to find out it wasnt valid until 8 days after the opener. Good thing I read the bottom of the license before tomorrow. I had to take it back and get her a one year license even though she only fishes lakes one day of the year.Guess I should have read the regs a little better. They shouldnt be able to sell you an invalid license though.

I agree. If you bought it today, it should be valid on opening day.
But maybe F&W will look at this one day license issue.....and double the price for one that is valid in the first week. :dunno: :bash:

Anything to make more money I guess. The guy at the store said he sold a bunch of one day licenses for tomorrow.Woops

that's been in effect for as long as i can remember. good way to hook the guys that only fish on the opener, which seems to be about 90% of who fishes the lakes, at least on the westside. most of the lakes will be a ghost town a week from tomorrow.
