Well, She got me good this time. I've been looking for a good pair of binos for a long time.
MINOX BR 8x56 :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
Minox was a subsidiary of LEICA so this is some fantastic glass. In the european market these things are going for 580+ euros ($800).
8x56 gives the maximum light transmission and trust me, these babies are SWEET. I cant wait for them to come in so i can stop looking at the ones in the deutch hunting markets.

she has been hinting a medeterainian luxury cruise for the past 2 months pretty heavily...... she just might get it.

I planned on primarily using them at night while i'm over here so while i was bino shopping around i came up with my primary choice, steiner night hunters. they come with large objectives a long line of durability(my buddy ran over his with his truck) and auto focus which makes them great for night time use. the problem with the night hunters is that they run about $1000-$1200 a pair. my second choice was the minox but they always tended to be just out of my price range.
my third choice which i was coming close to settling on was a pair of steiner military marine or police in 10x50 which would have ran about $300. when this deal popped up there was some serious butt kissing to be had. :whoo:

yeah the cruise might just get you a brownie point or 2 :chuckle:
