We were at Ocean City and had 7 people, ended up with, I believe, 4 clams short of 7 limits. Same thing, two of the limits were for my kids (2 and 4 years old.) So we did alright.  I also went on Friday, just two of us, and we got two limits then. No more until fall, I guess?

we were at ocean city as well.  I went friday, saturday, and sunday. :IBCOOL:  Friday and Saturday were easy digs but Sunday was difficult.  We still went out of there with 8 limits.  I love how fat the clams are this time of year.  There were also a bunch of morons digging in the no dig test area.  I was suprised the wardens didn't sit on that thing and hand out tickets like crazy.

ocean city's about 18 miles from my house, digging was easy like usual.  i headed about a mile north of the access.  had to tap for them but they were everywhere, and really big this time around.  didn't get a single small one either :IBCOOL:

once the tide started rolling in, the perch fishing was off the hook.  there were 4 or 5 other guys within a couple hundred yards of me and i saw lots of fish on stringers.  i could have gotten a limit if i could've stuck all the bites i had, but i went home with 3 nice ones, one was about 3lbs(pregnant female, would've let it go but it was bleeding out).

we were wondering how the fishing is.  we are thinking about trying it out sometime.  what did you use for bait?

Razor clam necks work awesome! They stay on fish after fish too. Use little hooks like size 2 or even 4 octopuss hooks. And just small pieces of neck. They have small mouths...

Look for areas on the beach that have that dirtier water. I believe it holds more fish as its plankton and such creating a food chain effect. We also do really well with a small pink corkie atop the bait. Just like a steelie leader. Trust me it works!!!!

And if you want really quality fish keep a cooler with ice handy as they tend to soften up. The meat is very tender and kinda soft so keep them as fresh as possible after bleeding. They are very tasty though! Suprisingly GOOD!
