It is legal to leave your lunch in the same spot everyday though.  ;)

Or leave your gut pile from your baited elk where a bear might happen across it....   8)

Correct me if I am wrong, but the only two types of animals WDFW says are illegal to bait are Bear and Waterfowl. All other animals are ok to do so, food plots, mineral licks, etc.
