Title: Washington Rio
Post by: 1morebuck on May 12, 2010, 06:38:37 PM
Here is my 2010 "Rio" from Eastern Washington. Nice 2-year-old, eight inch beard and 3/4 to one inch spurs.

Thanks guys. Yep, I agree, it does look just like the merriam's I shoot up in Republic. Hunting in the areas that the WDFW says are Rio's doesn't mean much to me, except that my buddies and I attempt the Washington Slam every year so we hunt North East first, then South East, then the West side. The lines that WDFW draw do not mean a thing to the birds that migrate all over on that side of the state. I'm just happy to put the hammer on three birds in the spring.
