Those grouse are deadly!  They will flush right out from under your feet and give you a heart attack!  They need to be listed as vermin, predators, like coyotes, with a year around season.   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Oh, just when my boys started deer hunting, (we're still hunters through the woods), I warned them about Grouse, that they'd flush and scare the crap out of you when you least expect it. At near an arms length sometimes. The boys just shrugged me off thinking I was telling some old story.  Then it happened!   I'm laughing in the woods so damn hard at the boys that I know I scared all the bucks away that morning.  Then last year the youngest and I come out from unsuccessfully calling bear, in a great spot with a lot of sign... Walking down the road and a bunny flushed at his feet.  Right over his toe!  He just about soiled himself!

Getting too close to any critter... You never know what they're going to do.
