I have hunted hard the last two years for a bear. Want to try the meat, and would like a nice rug. I have been hunting around monroe but not been succsesful. I dont care how far or hard I have to work for it I will do it. Anyone have a suggestion for me for my best chances for a day or weekend trip come August.
Thanks.

What kinda areas are you hunting? August and September. Find where they are feeding. Berries are the first place I would look.

You dont have to drive far at all if you are hunting Monroe, or any area in the pacific northwest.
Find berries, find bears. Try to hunt in the evening or dawn. Good luck.

Just keep moving until you find fresh sign.. any logging area around monroe holds bears. Check out the snoqualmie tree farm lots of bear in there Tru value in North Bend sells permits and keys to the gates.
