Just purchased a new 45. I need ammo that will eat it and reloadable cases as well.
-
yep, thats what happens when you buy a new gun...
-
I think I found a place... I will agree if someone post the name here.

the walmart winchester white box (100rnd pack) have always worked well in my .45 but have proven difficult to be had. what ive found is that almost every .45 ive come across (fiends pistols) all have different tastes and shoot some ammo flawlessly and some not so good, i cant shoot blazer brass in mine it doenst like to pick up the next round and locks back. id suggest getting a box of everything and find out what yours likes and doesnt like.

I have a great place for 45acp ammo.. IN MY GUN ROOM! :IBCOOL:
Here, this'll make you sick.. I can reload my poured lead in cases I already own for about $.08ea.! :chuckle:
Sure is a whole lot less than what it costs to buy factory ammo.

You can also buy hardcast lead, lubed bullets and load for under $7 per box.
I stocked up at walmart before the last price hike, when you could buy 100rnds of WWB 230gr FMJ's for $32. Good brass and works well in my .45's. I refuse to buy factory ammo at $19+ per box...heck even 9mm is rediculous. Spring 2006 you could buy Blazer 115gr TMJ 9mm for $3.74 per box from Natchez....look at it now! UGH!
Most 45's I've owned/shot were not very picky. The ones that were seemed to be new guns, or 1911's that needed a touch of tuning. Both of my 1911's run flawlessly with everything I've tried so far...even cycle emtpy brass.

Sounds like your feed ramp is too steep. I purchased a Norinco 1911 and hollow points would stove pipe all the time. Took a chain saw file and worked it down and polished it. Be careful not to take to much, this is a piece of cake for a gun smith to do. I haven't found any ammo that won't feed through it now.

My lead handloads are about .12 each. My ball ammo is about .18 ea. Is real nice to shoot for cheap still, with something.

I reload .45acp by the thousand for about $235 in my Dillon 1050. Usually 230 gr jacketed RN in under an hour. Still have 500 or so laying around.

I picked up a case of the Winchester White box from Walmart before they limited you to 6 boxes. It was around $28 for a 100 rounds if I recall. Now it's around $35.
-
Yep it is $35 a box of 100.

Lets see... I've fired just um... Um?... more than 4,000 rounds of 45acp since November.
Holy chit! That's $1,400 plus tax retail! I've spent less than $375 on that amount of shootin though!
