Title: Rifled Shotgun Slug Recomendations?
Post by: h20hunter on June 15, 2010, 09:05:26 AM
So, picking up my H&R Ultra Slug Hunter on Friday. Now, I need to start looking at slugs. Any recomendations? I like the look of Federal Premium with Barnes Tipped Slugs, Hornaday SST Slugs, and Winchester Super Elite Dual Bond 2 3/4" 260 grain'ers. I'll be honest, the Dual bond looks wicked and the marketing photos looks like a devasting round. I will not lie, I am prone to go with fancy and cool looking but ultimately want one shot knock down humane short blood trail if any dead right there kind of slugs. I will be using this gun during shotgun season in IL. for whitetails.

I have no personal experience, but have heard good things about Hornady's slugs.
