Title: Coyote Hunting partner
Post by: jayrod9528 on June 18, 2010, 09:48:50 PM
I'm looking for some one to go yote hunting with. My old hunting partner (my brother in law) has gotten more into ridding dirt bikes  :bash:. I have land to go hunting on but, my wife does not want me to go by myself and all my friends are not wanting to hunt yotes. If you have a electronic call that would be great I have one mouth call that seems to work ok but it would be nice to let a computer call some times. I'm a responsible and safe hunter and I will not hunt with anyone who is unsafe. If you want the hide you can have them all I yote hunt to keep me sharp on my .270WSW so not of hide left to be had. I work Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Let me know thanks.

Yeah, you would have to live semi close to Pasco or the lower Valley. Sometimes my hunts are spur of the moment kind of deals. I like to plan them but, I'm not going to let planning get in the way of hunting  :chuckle:.

Just found out that my son and hunting partner drew for cow elk tags in the Boisie Cascade Tree Farm outside of Burbank. I will be out of comisiion a couple months do to surgery as you well know but when I am up and moving might have a change to hunt yotes out in the tree farm. Heard of bobcats and cougars too out there.

Jayrod, give me a call.  I live in Richland and hunt the coyotes.  I am busy the next two weekends (travel) but we could get together later.  I do have an electronic call, and (public) areas to hunt as well.

There is a big herd in the trees. They come out during the night and feed in Simplots circles. Have seen several branched antler bulls in the trees and the circles next to the trees. Just have to find the cows this time around.

I spent 2 years working in those trees, the ratio of bulls to elk are about 8 to 1.  some of the bulls copare in size to the Hanford Herd bulls.  Cows are going to be a challenge, on that farm in early Aug. the bulls will be hanging out in the 5-10 foot trees with a few cows but the majority of the cow are in the big timber. You don't really begin to see them come out until Early Oct.
