Title: Anyone compare Leupold 8x32 GR against ZR 7x36 EDII
Post by: tpcollins on June 20, 2010, 08:50:09 AM: I'm still trying to find every excuse possible not to get the 7x36 EDII mainly because at 5.8", I think they're just too darn long. Since Leupold has gone to the HD version (more marketing talk ??), I found an online source for the pre non-HD version 8x32 Leupold Gold Ring for about $30 less than the ZR. I can live with the extra 5 ozs of the Leupy, I'm just not sure about the extra length of the Zen 7x36.

Just wondering if anyone has compared these two side by side and what your thoughts were? Thanks.

Post by: tpcollins on July 05, 2010, 01:41:56 PM: Well, I ordered both, and tested them pretty well against each other and I'm keeping one and returning the other. I don't think Charles would be happy with the results.

I under stand who he is, but why is the ZR being returned? WHat did he find as the good or the bad for them?
