Post by: heavy hauler on July 01, 2010, 08:29:25 PM: just wondering what you all thought about the quality of this late season rifle deer whitey hunt. there is alot of tags(750) so i know there will be a ton of people.any input? thanks

Post by: Pathfinder101 on July 01, 2010, 09:29:12 PM: I think the amount of tags reflects the fact that it is almost entirely private property. If you have a place to hunt, I think they want you to have a good chance of drawing a tag. The farmers want them thinned out a bit as well...

Post by: buckmaster_wa on July 01, 2010, 11:53:18 PM: Yeah horrible tag!!! All the big whiteys are in the northeast corner of the state. Mostly private ground but you might get lucky if you ask some farmers in the summer and not right before the hunt starts. Good luck.

Post by: bigpaw 77 on July 05, 2010, 05:18:16 PM: I have had the tag twice, it's a great tag if you have permission to hunt private land. As it has been said before most of the units in the hunt are private land. some people will give permission, but it is not easy to find them. good luck
