just wondering what you all thought about the quality of this late season rifle deer whitey hunt. there is alot of tags(750) so i know there will be a ton of people.any input? thanks
-
Big area with some dandy whitetails. Several GMUs. Tends to be better toward the end of the season. Good Luck!

I think the amount of tags reflects the fact that it is almost entirely private property. If you have a place to hunt, I think they want you to have a good chance of drawing a tag. The farmers want them thinned out a bit as well...

there was just another thread on this same subject. search for it, im too lazy right now haha.
-
Horrible tag. If I were you I would send it back to WDFW.
-
you should just give me the tag! ;)
-
Yeah horrible tag!!! All the big whiteys are in the northeast corner of the state. Mostly private ground but you might get lucky if you ask some farmers in the summer and not right before the hunt starts. Good luck.

im not as lazy in the morning.

knock on doors people up there are real good at giving permission

I run across quite a few big whitey's during late season while down in that country Pheasant hunting. Seems the population is exploding down there for sure.
-
thanks for the input. i didnt draw the tag, just looking into it.

This is a huge area for 750 tags, also gotta think how many people will end their season in the early hunt or how many of the tag holders live a long ways away.like many have said it's mostly private, 127 is almost entirely private and most do not give permission, the more south u get and find the farms they are more likely to give permission
-
that tag takes up like 1/4 of eastern washington not that many tags
-
all good input.thanks again

I have had the tag twice, it's a great tag if you have permission to hunt private land. As it has been said before most of the units in the hunt are private land. some people will give permission, but it is not easy to find them. good luck
