Title: went crabbing today
Post by: superdown on July 07, 2010, 04:59:04 PM: My dad , girlfriend and I went to gig harbor today dad and i got our limit's (girlfriend wasn't fishing) of red rock the dungees weren't coming in really at all had a good time might go out again tomorrow. Smallest one was around 5.5 inches got one that was about 7.5 inches.

we;ve had some good crabbing lately in MA10. seem to be in the 100-120 foot depth range.

o ya i got some out by chambers a week ago . just some monsters . next time ill take some pics.

Post by: Dmanmastertracker on July 08, 2010, 07:33:07 AM: Nice haul of crab. Red rock get well past 7.5" wide. The largest I ever saw when crabbing regularly was in the 8.5" range, barnacles all over it.

Post by: wabearhunter on July 10, 2010, 06:51:20 PM: those are some nice crabs!! a couple years back we pulled in an 8"+ wide rock crab near redondo. also caught a dungeness while fishing for dogfish. it held on to that bait and didn't let go even when we pulled it in the boat!
