does anyone know what the stuff that you put on the action like grease then work until smooth for sticky actions is called?

Lubricant.

ummm,
most people just use hopes gun oil (7$) at wally world for personal weapons.
For extremely heavy weapons such as the Mark 19 grenade launcher (automatic 40mm grenade launcher that must be mounted on a vehicle or tripod to be fired) they use a special White Lithium Grease... :dunno:
but dont know anyone that uses grease on the deer rifle
