Title: Idaho Scouting trip for Mulies
Post by: hunter-4-life on July 27, 2010, 10:04:21 AM: Here are a few pics from this weekends trip to idaho in search of mulies. My bussy that was with us was the photographer. So he gets the props for the pics.

Post by: hunter-4-life on July 27, 2010, 10:52:25 AM: It's a draw. Actually to tell you the truth I am not the one who drew. My wife did. So I am trying to put her on a nice buck. I think the area we were in has bigger bucks. We kinda picked a bad day to scout because the night before we did was a full moon. So they probably fed all night. And with the weather being so hot the bucks were already heading to their beds. And those big bucks always move with the shade. They are rarely seen in the sun. That's just what I think anyway.

We will be focusing more on the end of the season because it is closer to the rut. But on the other hand its her tag so I am not going to hold her back on pulling the trigger on something she may consider a trophy.

No Kidding! I thought it was one of those mulie/rocky crosses for a second there! :chuckle:

You are exactly right, we have watched countless big mulies that move to their bed as soon as the sun is starting to rise, as you said, many big bucks do not let the sun hit them while feeding. :tup:
