Looking for some info on camping for modern firearm elk hunting this year around the Nemah
I'm looking for info on a place to park two trailers without worrying to much about vandalism.
I was told Parpula rd and Government road would be ok , any comments or suggestions welcome ?
Thanks in advance

Not likely,..unless you know someone.
All private property.
There is one clear spot just across 101 bridge, but most likely already taken, and it is next to road. :bdid:
(Also this is near Naselle)
There is Bruceport campground near Nemah, if you dont mind paying fees.
Or Bay Center, ( a little off the way)
Not much around unless you find a spot on DNR land.

Thanks for the info
I'll be looking at the area in the next couple of weeks for places and have no problem paying to camp
-
There are elk in that area??
-
one or two....
Tunerville Campground, a little ways away, in the Willapa Unit is also an option.
I wonder what happened to HEADSHOT, he lives out there somewhere......
-
1 or 2
thats funny !
-
I think headshot is the guy who recommended Parpula and Government rd
He was good on info and it was appreciated, I will trade any info on MT ST Helens area if I can

-There is no camping off either of those roads unless you have permission to private property.

You already researched (search function) WOW !!
just joking. :chuckle:
You can park at gates and hunt in off of Parpala and Government Roads, but no camping at gates, or on WH property.
If you get on DNR land, you should be O.K., but make sure you know boundary.
What unit are you planning on hunting ? 673 ?
-
I'm not sure which unit but probably Willimas creek, ya, I am trying to do some research and will be down there proabaly next weekend unless fishing takes off, mostly for finding parking for the RV somewhere.
I plan on just hunting behind the gates with the rest of the crowd
-
I'm getting ready to head that direction for some scouting myself, don't want locations but want did you find?
-
Have not been down yet to scout, camping info not much available
-
Scouted it and talked to some loggers, I'll be staying at the RV park in Raymond
I saw 30 elk no legal bulls but nice country
I understand its a RV on every landing come modern firearm and a constant parade up and down the roads
-
MADMAX, hey there is a K.O.A. in Bay Center. Also everybody needs to pay close attention to all of weyco roads as there will be no forgiveness from them if you are on a red dotted road, in or on a motorized vehicle.
-
The KOA says they close the end of October, but thanks.
I have reservations at the Willapa Harbor golf course and RV park for the whole modern elk season.
Thanks for the info from all.
