I have a wildview 5 megapixel cam and can't seem to get more than 4 days out a set of batteries. I've tried all of the top battery brands and 4 days is max. what kind of batteries do you use? Does any one else seem to have this problem as well? I want to put my cam back out but I'm going BROKE bying batteries.....
-
some cams are bad about that! nothing i have seen can fix them. but good luck
-
All i use in my moultrie's D40 and my 5.0 are durecell. I get more then a month of use out of them depending on how many pics i'm getting. I have heard that the wildviews get good battery life, maybe you just got a bad one :dunno: How many pics are you getting in 4 days of use?
-
You should contact Wildview and see if they will let you send it in to be fixed as they should last alot longer
-
Like asked above......how many pictures are you getting in that amount of time? Flash or no flash?
I have 3 of the cheapest Wildviews and I got two weeks out of Duracells at nearly $10 a set. I bought some rechargeables at $20 a set and get at least two weeks, plus I get to re-use them. I have 4 sets of Energizers E2 25000mAh and they seem to be fine. I also bought a larger external battery & charger from Batteries Plus (and a cable from Cabela's) for about $60 total. It is going on 4 weeks and 2,000 photos.

Rayovac seem to work good for mine.
-
Picture count? Mostly day/night photos?
My Wildlife Innovations IR camera lasts for about 1100 pictures before the Duracell's I put in them go dead, +/- a few depending on if they are mostly night or day pics as the batt's have to light up the infrared at night, which uses more batt obviously.
I get the 12 pack of Duracell C's from Costco for 11.99 (by far the best I have seen Duracell's).
Good Luck!

Check out this thread - I have done this for 6 wildviews, a bushnell and a moultrie D50. It will greatly increase battery life - but the best part is that they are rechargeable.

I have 2 different wildview cams... 1 IR and one flash. they both seem to last for about 3 weeks on the 24 hour setting with 30 second delay. You might want to invest in the energizer rechargable's they will last longer too.
-
Rechargable batteries? :dunno:
-
the new bushnells are well worth the money. batts last forever!
-
Especially if you go with the lithium batts
-
I got a moultrie 5.0....i have been doing 30 day soaks all summer and when i go to pull the card and replace the batteries it still says i have 40% batt life left! My current soak is going on 45 days now so we'll see when i go pull it this weekend.

I only get about 4 pics a day for 4 days worth of battery life. I haven't tried rechargables yet. I'm going to look into getting a set of these. This is my second wildview cam, the first one fried and was able to send it back and up grade to a 5mp from a 2mp.

I USE DURACELL THEY LAST ME AT LEAST 2 MONTHS I HAVE HAD MY CAMERA SINCE JAN AND I ONLY CHANGED ONCE

If you have a 12v camera which I think those are get the 12V power cord from stealth cam $9.99 and you can hook the camera to any 12v battery. Motorcycle batt. Or 1 of these

I use the Stealth Cam 12v cable and a Werker WKA12-7.5F battery on one of mine. Works great. Over a month so far.

my cuddeback runs more than two months on rayovac and duracell. Every time I use energizer they die within a month. Probably matters which camera you got.
