Hello,
From these pics can anyone with more experience estimate the size of this bear?
I am pretty sure he is a "shooter", either way I am going to try to shoot him!
:IBCOOL:
-thanks

Shoot him! lol
-
hell yes that is a shooter! bust him! he has all the traits of a fine bear very round hind end. very small looking ears. low gut. shooter for sure i would put my :twocents: on 280+lbs as well
-
big ears skinny nose, shooter yes,pig nope.
-
I was thinking around 200, if it comes in at 280 or 300 i think thats a good bear for washington state.
-
For WA state would shoot. Would guess based upon body composition in pics around 225-250 lbs
good luck

little tike...150. Average WA bear.

x2...but shoot her (I would lean to this being a sow) and enjoy the steaks.
-
man boys i have put my hands on some 150 pound bears before and my first bear was right at that size. around 150 i think that bear is way better then 150 :twocents: and i am not a 100% sure it is not a sow. but i am leaning towards boar
-
Well there is one sure way to find out.
-
On the note of Sow Vs Boar....
We have massive bear activity here over the last week, and there is another set that comes, a smaller bear that looks more like a dog, and this bear has a cub, these two are never around when this one is there, thats why i think this is a Boar.
We have about 8 of these cams, on trails and all over our area, all all the time stamps match up, these bears just dont hang out together.

that bear is young...has a narrow head, tall ears, long pointy nose. I might be wrong, I'm no pro, but he looks small and young to me.
:twocents:
-
p.s. shoot it if you want...it's an average bear I think. kill it and eat it!! and be proud.
-
Not Bad... You can shoot if you like to... Not for me and I will let him grow.... I will pass and look for 500 to 600 lbs again :yike: somewhere!!!
Mulehunter ;)

seen a 150 and a 483 lbs on the ground from wa state..id say that guy there is in the 250+ range..healthy looking bear..shooter for sure
-
That Bear has pointy dog ears, Its in pretty good shape but its a 200 lb Bear max.
-
Not much over 200lbs if he goes that much. Still a shooter.
-
The snout is to long and slender to be a "large" bear. I would say an adult shooter for sure though.
