Bugled a hard horned one in on August 11th, hot as heck.   I've seen velvet bulls the 9th of September same ridge :dunno:.   (note I said bulls)

98% of mature bulls in the blues will strip there's in about a 5 day period... which should be any day, wallows should start getting hammered too :)

You got one bugled in that early! Note I am not a bow hunter so I haven't done the bugle thing YET I might get into it just for the heck of things!

I wasn't trying 400.  I was out checking on what roads were gated and stopped to take a leak.  I heard this bugle and thought to myself, there is no way there is an idiot down there bugling this time of day, this time of year.  Nahhhhh.  Heard it again, so I blew a toot, and here he come.   Called him right into the misses and I, 100 or so yards away from where I parked the truck.  He was rearing to go.
