I heard from a very reliable source that the steelhead numbers are supposed to be thru the roof.
In Idaho that is.
Anyone planning a trip to the clearwater?

Kind of like last years springer run, or the year before that's silver run? The predictions are rarely correct, just false hope so everyone goes out and gets a license.

LOL... It sure seams to feel that way. They leak information then everyone buys a license.

I try to get to the Ahsahka area but lately it has only been once or twice in January or February. Tough to make it happen between work and little ones.

They seem to predict the steelhead run much better, last year was phenominal over here and its looking like another with the counts that are coming over

Real funny they said it was going to be a record run of salmon this year on the Columiba, right after they stiffed everyone for a 25.00 fee for fishing it.
