I've taken my Lab swimming at chapel bridge a few times this summer.  That's a good lookin' river in the summer.  It's a mess nowadays in the winter and I don't think it's ever fishable.  I know they haven't planted winter steelhead there for years.  We used to float from chapel to the park in the winter and do pretty well.
