Title: Marinade
Post by: flashover52 on August 21, 2010, 06:35:30 PM
Just finished cooling/eating some venison -- tomorrow is the dog's 8th birthday so she got a few extra pieces (should I have saved some for my wife when she gets home from work??   :dunno:)  Oh well......

Here's what I marinade them in overnight.....

1/2 cup of soy sauce
1 clove garlic minced (I've been using the pre-crushed/minced in a glass jar)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tbsp. Worcestire Sauce
1 tbsp. lemon juice

In the morning, I usually add some leftover coffee to help tenderize them.....

Then cook them just right on the Traeger

You might try adding a little corn starch too. Seems to help mine when I do them with a similar marinate. But them I fry them in thin strips. Cooking different can change the taste.

That looks good to me.  Try stirring in a couple of TBSP olive oil before they go on the Traeger - my  :twocents:
