Here is freshman Jedi wannabe Chris ready to do battle with the evil spawned Chinook.

After a looong and sometimes miserable search and losing a couple and releasing an undersize blackmouth Chris finally gets one to the boat only to find it is a 6' shark ( not a dog fish) that grins and cuts the 50# leader right in front of the hovering net.
Crushed he spends time curled up in the corner of the boat looking green until at 3:30 in 250' of water a fish grabs the green hootchie / spin and glow combination at 125'. He struggles back from the green funk to do battle. "Chris,,,,,,,, I am your father,,,,,,,, keep the tip up".

"You'll Not defeat me again!!" he cries ( pull up, reel down, pull up, reel down, ...)

Oh No!!! Granpa Yoda tries to dip too deep and the chinook plunges back toward the depths. Finally it is brought in.

It's a good thing Scott brought the large fish transport capsule.

Good point- the rule was if you are on the rail- vest on. He had one on most of the day but Chris had been sleeping in the cabin chair when this one hit.

:chuckle: Nice story and fish!

Nice fish! How big is your Arima?

I've never been sea sick, but from what I've seen of it,catching anything is hard much less a fish like that! That Jedi must be one tuff dude!
