went up north for some crick fishin ...caught lots of small brookies and cuts...caught around 40 fish with the biggest going just over 11 inches...anyone know of an area where a guy can catch larger sized brookies?...I know of some alpine lakes where i can catch them a little bigger...but not much...
-
try meadow lake up in colville....been quite a few years since I was up there but they were over 11.
-
very cool!

Cool pics! I love both those species of trout!
-
Jumpoff Joe used to have big brookies.
-
Nice! I believe that Brookies are some of the most beautiful fish out there.
-
yeah i sure love catching them both in the mountain streams...biggest brookie i have caught in washington i think was only like 14 inches...I know fish lake is supposed to have some big ones in it....I just don't like to lake fish unless i am structure fishing...which is also why I like to crick fish, find the right sneaky spot catch a few and move on...they really are pretty though
-
those look pan sized....with butter an onions....YUM
-
yeah i kept a few for that, (plus a little garlic salt)... some of the brookies really ranged in color, like the last pic , that one was really dark bluish/black with less fin color
-
Bonaparte lake used to have HUGE brooks.
