i know it is illegal to hunt in ocean shores ! any body know of any good areas close to the city limits?
-
That's funny, we bought a place down there last year and can hand feed the deer. Not sure if they are like pets or pests to the locals.

there is a public hunting area next to the airport, but i don't know if you'd find any deer there. i don't think it's illegal to hunt in open sores, more than likely just a firearm restriction zone for the most part. i do know you won't make many friends out there trying to bag their "pet" deer(almost everyone who lives there are retired and/or came from out of state)

I have heard of people duck hunting near the airport.

Duck hunting down there in a few spots ;) the deer are mostly pests they get hit eat flowers and reproduce ...they are like rats with antlers :chuckle: we have family down there lots of locals would love to whack a few......but no hunting of the deer except by an occasional special permit hunt is what I have been told :dunno:
thankfully the *censored* that bought the house right next to one of the designated hunting areas finally sold and left it was real tiring calling the cops and fish and game every time the guys went to hunt there idiots would harass hunters and the birds :bash: :bash: note to morons do not buy property next to well marked and used hunting areas if you are anti hunting :dunno: seems so obvious

Duck hunting is allowed in Oyhut NWR and here is the community blurb on big-game hunting:
Big Game Hunting:
Deer and elk hunting in the hills
between the North Beach and
Highway 101 is popular. Much of
this is corporate owned, so check
with land owners before planning
your trip.
