Anyone been fishing Coho out of Neah Bay the last couple weeks? Will be fishing Sekiu after labor day and just curious if there are any coho out there starting to stage. Also what size fish have you been getting?

I hope so, I'm heading to Neah after Labor Day

I was up at Neah Bay this last week and we had to work hard for the fish we caught. We fished mainly the East end of Swiftsure and caught fish at just about every depth. We even caught a silver 245 feet down on the cable. I can't figure out what the deal is this year , but it seemed that all old traditional silver tactics just would'nt produce so we spent alot of time experimenting with different things. We did manage to land an 18 pound hatchery silver and that was cool, but be prepared for long days on the water.

I spent friday through sunday fishing out of sekiu and one day ran out to neah bay. We put 20 fish up to the boat not counting shakers... we came home with two 5-6 lb hatchery silvers. A lot of fun but at least right now there are few good size wild fish (10-12 lb) and a very few smallish hatchery fish roaming around. that all could change though and if i had to guess you guys will have a little better luck. Ill be back up after the 15th though for the non-selective fishery

Thanks for the reports all. Any new reports from Labor Day Weekend? Have the fished arrived in Sekiu and if so what areas and how deep, etc?

I got a first hand report from a good friend of mine in Sekiu right now, 3 keepers friday, 2 nates yesterday. Pretty slow, but a few fish around.
