I have heard there are a lot of animals there and little pressure. Is this true and what are some techniques you would suggest. Thanks in advance

If it's true, it will not be after people get wind of it thanks to this post.  I don't know that spot, but we've got a few people on this board from around there.

I hunt down in that general area.  There's plenty o hunters around there.  There's also plenty of woods to wander through also.  Just get out of the truck and beat some brush.

As far as lots of animals.... well, there's animals, but you won't see 60-80 animals in a herd all at once.  Usually it's 4-10 animals with 5 being the average we've seen.  They're there though, just tough to find 'em due to the nature of their environment.

Hunt the thick stuff  ;)

The stupidity of some people when it comes to the power of the internet never ceases to amaze me.

I don't even hunt down there but cringe when I see posts like this one.

Seems like people don't want to work for anything anymore. "Can't you just box it all up and let me have it for free right now" That's the world we live in now. The internet is the answer for everything. Isn't there a sight that you can download an app for your iPoop that will tie up an elk to a tree, download the gps coordinates to you, shoot it, clean it and load it in the back of your rig for you?

Always how, never where...

Just like a 10 years ago when they ran a story in the Washington fishing and hunting news mag, they ran that article and that archery season it seemed like everyone in seattle came down to hunt, from what i'v heard from some of the locals is that that was one of the worst years they had with people tresspassing on property and chasing elk all over on the private property down low. There are elk there and there are a good number of hunters too, you get a mile up a gated logging road and you will have more country to yourself than you'll know what to do with. Hunt hard and you will get into elk.
