Hey Guys. I am stationed at Ft Lewis This will be my first fall here. I am from Montana and am an avid hunter. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take me out show me spots.. basically any help would be great. Thanks

could point you in some directions on the east side but i hunt idaho so cant be much more help than that

I'd expect to be disappointed......you see lots of guys in this state headed to your old state.  Not so much the other way around.


What are you looking to hunt?

I would help if I could you know more about the west side than I do! If I were you I would try a little hunt exchange, state exchange, bartering is always a good road  :twocents:  Thanks for the service

I am mostly looking to hunt the west side of the state, I will be going home to hunt Montana at some point but I will only have a few days, I really like to kill an elk out here

Get a map of a GMU and study it . Then get out and drive /look around timber and farm country for local herds.  They should be starting to heat up this week so bulls will be running cows. All  I can suggest on this side is scout and learn an area well and it will pay off. Look for sign and fresh clearcuts sometimes helps on this side of the mountains
