Title: kelty cache hauler
Post by: huntinluva on August 31, 2010, 06:41:04 PM
Looked at this the other day at wholesaler's.  Curious if anyone has it or has used it.  I put it on empty and it was quite comfortable.  Seemed like it could hold a hind quarter no problem.  Any input?

I had one for a year, couldn't get the load to stay high enough on the pack frame to stay comfortable. I bought an Eberlestock which was more practical for what I was doing. The Kelty does have more comfortable shoulder and waist straps than the Eberlestock though.

It was $20 off on sale thru Aug 31 at Warehouse Sports- wish I'd seen this earlier.

I got one and am hauling dog food sacks around getting in condition. I like the load wiings- you don't have to an dELK quarter into a  bag opening, just rest it on the shelf and secure.  I'm going to tape down the adjustment pin rings once I get the sizing figured out-  they rattle.

Cool, thanks fellas.  I have the Rigg-It pack frame and got to use it last year.  Pretty comfortable, I need to put more straps on it though.

Love my Kelty, have hauled a lot of deer and elk on it. Wish I had a pic of the load I was hauling the year my son shot his bull, had to be 150 lbs, I didn't walk quite right for about two days after that. LOL It'll haul more than you can carry.
