I'm not looking for anyones Honey holes of where others have scouted just somewhere i might find a few deer. and I'm not looking for a buck real nice to look at but those horns are hard to eat.

Be carefull, I know in Thurston County anything in city limits is illegal. Even if its a bow. They concider any flying projectial illegal. gun, bb-gun, sling shot, paint ball gun, bow and arrow ect... There were some city bucks that i wanted to hunt down by tumwater but after contacting the police they said that it was a no go.

Capitol Forest isn't to far from Lakewood. Theres deer in there, but you get alot of whack jobs in that place.. kinda sketchy. Alot of dirt bikes, stolen cars, people use to bring rolling meth labs in that place and it gets really busy. I hunt the Wynoochee but thats more than an hour drive. You might need to take some time off  :twocents:

I think you can still get access to hunt Fort Lewis.  There are some areas beyond the east-gate road that have deer.  Just make sure you're not on a range.  You can also head out toward Roy and McKenna.  The Vail Tree Farm is out that way and it gives up a deer every year.  It kind of depends on where you are going home to.  The Vail tree farm and Capitol Forest will take you 1 hour to 1 hour/30 min to actually get to where you can hunt.

Meadow park golf couse, oakbrook country club, anywhere in the town of Stellicoom. :) I think your better off driving down Rainier or Capitol forest. Capitol forest is not as bad as it used to be. The West side holds alot of deer. Not alot of good bucks but more doe than you can count.
