from their report on district 8: "Elk: Calf ratio data collected in February/March data indicated average recruitment
in 2010. Since calves surveyed in March are spike bulls in the fall, bull harvest is
expected to be increase after a poor 2009 season. PMU’s 33 and 36 had the best
recruitment."
What the heck? I thought the reason they switched Bumping to spike only for archery elk was due to lower population and lower recruitment? I know Bumping is PMU 35 but c'mon...
