What a weekend. It started off poorly. Hot then windy then it got really nice. I Called this guy in at my first set sunday morning in about 25 minutes. Took the shot at 244 yards heard the hit and the bear collapsed and rolled backwards. I saw it struggling and punched it again. I got to the bear and it was still alive and pissed. It pawed at me and popped it's teeth. I introduced it to the trusty Kimber. Measured exactly 5 feet and was pretty damn heavy, 180-200 I supposed. We also smoked some grouse and had a great grouse dinner. Thanks Bighorns2bushytails! We'll get you one one of these days.

Wow, two for two...good job!

Awesome! I want a bear bad!! I went up north saturday morning, but on my way to the stand (deer hunting with a bear in the area) I got stung my some black pissed off hornet. I had a massive reaction to stings when I was a kid but never since. Started to feel a little funny so I thought my best interest to get back to my cousins place just in case bad things happen. My hand is still swollen and sore. Gonna try this week though. Sorry to jack your thread. Great job!!!

Remmy model 7 in .260. Usually pack my 350 Rem mag but I thought the shot would be longer here if a bear showed. It was.

Oh yeah. Sneaky little turds were being skiddish this year. Missed one and several snuck away before I could shoot. Seems like a good hatch this year. Not great but good.
