does anyone know a piece of public land or state land in the mica peak unit or cheney unit that i can take a deer to gut it?
i am helping a guy hopefully get his forst deer in teh mica peak unit this weekend. an archery deer. the landowner does not want guts on the property. i dont want to take a doe into the mt spokane unit and gut it because does are not in season there and that is the only spot i know of to go to. not looking for a hunting spot, just a spot to gut a deer.
any help is appreciated.
thanks

id gut it over a tarp and dispose of it in a dumpster behind any mexican food restaurant..
no one would notice :chuckle:

I agree gut on a tarp and put the whole ball of wax in a large garbage bag ;)

Shouldn't be issue gutting it in the closed unit, I'd just snap a picture of you guys and the kill site and jot down some details if you were concerned.
At least that is what the WDFW told me when I inquired about it.

Geez. It would be gone in one night. He wouldn't even know it was there. The coyotes and crows would finish it off. Maybe gut in on site over a tarp and dump that in a ditch along some backroad. :twocents: I wouldn't consider that littering. I think it can legally go in your garbage as well. There was an article about that last year in the spokesman.

Tarp and garbage bags works great.

Starr road has a chunk of state land.

Gut it where it lies, get it cooled ASAP. And tarp/bag out the pile. There will be blood on the ground, but a good rain will take care of that.

Bone it out at home (which i assume is close by?) Then you will not even need gut it, carcass then goes in a bag in the trash, neat as can be...problem solved...

i figured it out, got it planned out.
