Title: March Brant Season
Post by: goosehunter51 on September 09, 2010, 07:45:16 PM
Can anyone recommend a good guide that hunts brant?  I've hunted them on the East coast and I'd like a nice bird for taxidermy.  I live in Michigan so any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!  Greg

h20fwlr may have some advice, i know he hunts brant.

you could try http://gettysnorthwestguiding.com/ (http://gettysnorthwestguiding.com/) I know Ben is a guy that guides in that AREA, not sure if he guides for brant or not.

First off there is no "March" brant season...It is typically a late January 7 day season depending on a 6K bird count is reached.

I would stay as far away as you can get from the above mentioned guide...
