Title: hunting around coulee city
Post by: nitro on September 10, 2010, 10:02:57 PM
I have been told that there is some public land that is around the buckrun ranch just south of coulee city, not asking for your secret sweet spot but going to spend some days over there this next week and could use any pointers that could help a fellow archery hunter try and get his buck this year.

I have lived in this area for 27 years.  There are places around there that are public, but not worth wasting your time.  The buckrun landowners will also make it tough for you if they know you are around.  There is decent public ground just east and south of the town of Stratford that has held some good bucks in the past couple of years and there is a lot of walk in hunting only that I am sure is listed by the wdfw in the area.

There is a bid chunk of BLM south of Coulee and North of area 201. There is some good buck on it but there is alot of pressure. Just spend time in there scouting and you could pull a good deer out of there.
