I'm pretty sure its open to bowhunters, thinking they just dont open the gates until rifle season.

open for Rifle deer on weekend only. Nothing else, other than for employees.

Recreational hotline and security office say its open. Where did you get the info stating its closed? Security says its closed in active area just by main operations center only. Other side by Johnson rd is open for walk in only and drive in on weekends.

They only open one gate on weekends and that is durring deer season. They do not open any gates for elk season for there is not a big enough population to demand a big number if hunters in teh areas for elk.
Yes teh are around Johnson creek rd is open to walk in only. They do not open those gates. Even when the gate is open for deer, you can not get back in to the area over there for the roads leading to it from the main tree farm are closed.
We used to hunt Miller hill all the time but sence they locked teh gate leading to the area there is no way to get back there except bu foot from JC rd.
And there is elk in other areas of the tree farm, but i aint telling ;)

My wife's family owns the farm across the road from the main gate - The policy has been the same for years - that's why it looks like I-5 through Seattle at rush hour on the weekends at the gate..... you can walk, ride a bike, or horse back in all you want (except for active work areas). If you want to use a motorized vehicle - you get MF Deer on weekends, that's it.
