First year I haven't been in camp in 10 years. :'(..I just cant do it! I drew the late bull tag and was going to save all the vacation for November but heck...whats 3 days with the brothers...PRICELESS. So, off to the Taenum where they have been seeing lots of elk. Spike camp tomorrow night deep and under the stars. Can't wait! Hopefully I'm coming home with red-arm after a big pack out for one of them, and you never know what happens with the deer or bear tag. Fingers X'd. Good luck to all this week!

The taneum, now that brings back some early memories. I recall the first year they opened that area up for muzzleloader Elk and we had the woods to ourselves. Yes, you heard that correctly we were hunting the Taneum during season with no other hunters in sight. It took just a few short years and seattle moved in during that muzzleloader season as well. Love the area and the country, have a great time. The picture of me on this site is a cougar I took while muzzloading elk just up from the main motorcycle camp off the river. Thought it was a loud hunter coming through the bush due to my cow calling....surprise.

Well, just back from a great hunt. No red arm but we spent some sweet time up in the woods. We really put on the miles steep and deep and found some new areas that look promising. We found a hard to get to outfitters camp that someone has put some serious time into and by the hide and bone dump looks like they have had success over many years. I was wondering if anyone knows who runs a guide service out of the Frost Mountain area?
