I WAS DRAWN FOR ONE OF THE 6 MUZZELOADER TAGS FOR THE PRIVATE LAND HUNT UP NEAR OROVILLE. I'M HUNTING THE METHOW VALLEY ON THE OPENER WITH MY HUNTING GROUP. I'VE TAKEN PLENTY OF 100" TO 140" BUCKS ,TRYING TO HOLD OUT FOR A 140" OR BETTER MULE DEER. I'M THINKING OF HUNTING WED THUR THE END OF THE SEASON WITH PERMIT . DOES THIS AREA HOLD BIG MULE DEER OR IS IT MOSTLY WHITETAIL. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPERCIATED

I can't recall anyone here having that permit and hunting there. I have applied with no luck on the draw.

Nearly all whitetail. I'm not even sure you can shoot a muley. You might want to verify that. Everyone I hear of hunting up there is after whitetail. Good luck

PERMIT SAYS MULE DEER 3 POINT MIN , ANY WHITETAIL BUCK !

There you have it. This is primarily a whitetail area, and that's what I'd ecpect too see and focus on. :twocents:
