Title: High buck hunters?
Post by: actionshooter on September 16, 2010, 09:58:22 AM
I wonder if those guys are hating life right now with the weather? I was a little jealous cause I couldn't go...............maybe not so much anymore.  :chuckle:

Yeah it's got to be pretty bad up there. I don't suppose binoculars and/or spotting scopes will be of much use. I was just thinking this morning, I hope it's not like this for the early muzzleloader deer season. A little rain is a good thing but this is ridiculous.

I would rather have the snow up there than the rain.

They are saying (weathermen, if you can believe what they say) that this winter is a La Nina winter and is supposed to be a lot wetter and colder than usual. They are saying it could be a pretty snowy winter. But we live in Washington so who really knows. I just hope it isn't like the winter we had a while back where we had 90 days strait of measureable precipitation. :bash:

Yeah I hate it when we don't even get a day to dry out between storms, all winter.

Got a call today from a buddy up there.  25 yards of visibility and wet.  I was excited because I know he had to go to the top to call out and was hoping to here some good news. :chuckle:

I am sure glad my wife didn't let me go this year  :bash:  Some times I want to..............
The truth is I would rather be hudled up under a tarp next to a fire than sit at home every day. I just got laid off on Monday so I would have had plenty of time to hunt.

I got word last night from my buddy that it was WET and they were on their way home with 4 deer in their group. Short and sweet. They didn't want to camp in the rain any longer.

Just got back a couple of hours ago.  It was awesome monday and tuesday, to bad it wasn't open.  Saw 4 huge bucks monday and tuesday evening. 4 bears.  Needless to say it was wet wet wet the rest of the time.  Yes the animals were all hunkered down in the thick stuff that you couldn't get too.  Oh well It was fun.  They will only be bigger next year. >:(

Last report I received was rain most evenings, but fog had not been a issue.  That was from eastern Payseten.  I will be leaving tomorrow morning.   :IBCOOL:
